After photographing weddings over the past few years, I've really come to value the unexpected, intimate moments that take place on a wedding day.
The hug your mom gives you before you leave your dressing room. The tear that falls down his cheek when he sees you walking down the aisle. The way the two of you lean your heads together during the toasts.
When the I do’s are said, the dancing ends, and the dress gets hung up, I want the beginning of your forever to still be remembered for years to come. Let’s be real, you’ll have your own paparazzi all day so it is also important to hire a photographer that feels like another bridesmaid. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience.

I've known LJ for a couple years now and the first time I heard about Lizzy I don't think I've ever seen LJ smile as big. Their chemistry is something I cannot even begin to describe and I knew it was just a matter of time before they tied the knot. Well that day finally came and I don't think it could have been more perfect. I was so worried about the rain but it held off and we were blessed with an amazing misty fog that made for gorgeous portraits outside after the ceremony.

The forecast was calling for rain. Surprise, surprise. I had my umbrellas in tow as I pulled up to the venue at Heron Pointe to met Spencer at the front door. Ya'll it could have been a tropical storm outside and this girl wouldn't have been phased! Spencer was relaxed, chill, and ready to marry her man! The rain decided to make an appearance right when we started taking Bride+Groom portraits so we grabbed the umbrellas and also took advantage of the large tree on the property! When you're smitten for each other who cares about a little rain anyways!

Shelbi and I met through a photography group, and when she asked me to capture her beach elopement with Bryan, I was beyond excited! Over months of chatting on social media (which can be a good thing!), we built such a great connection that by the time her big day arrived, it felt like photographing a close friend’s wedding. As a photographer herself, Shelbi had a clear vision and an impressively organized timeline. But the highlight? When she asked to take portraits in the ocean—I nearly jumped for joy! I had an absolute blast chasing waves with these two!

Shelby and Taylor had the most beautiful backyard spring wedding in Lillian, Alabama. These two decided to share a first look and the light couldn't have been more perfect for portraits during that time! They had their ceremony right behind the house they both got ready in and then skipped over a few feet for their reception under a tent. What an amazing evening it was as everyone gathered and danced the night away (and boy did they DANCE!!) celebrating Shelby and Taylor becoming one.
